As part of a three-day photo exhibition the H. Stepic CEE Charity presented its charitable work of the past eight years. A picture is worth a thousand words – poignant project photos from eleven countries told success stories of educational and healthcare initiatives, empowerment of women and children but also of centres for orphans, street children and people with disabilities in Central and Eastern Europe.
The photo exhibition was opened with a special initiative on the occasion of the beginning of the school year. Numerous RBI employees donated their old schoolbags of their children, along with some who even bought new. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Metro Group and PAGRO the supporters of the Charity managed to fill all bags with necessary stationary items and school material.
The H. Stepic CEE Charity sent all donations in kind to the beneficiaries of the project Ways out of the Ghetto in Romania. This way, children, who were unable to go to school because of the insufficient financial means of their parents are now fully equipped and fit for school.
More than 100 children are happy with their new schoolbags and can begin the new school year motivated and eager to learn. Thanks to the commitment of the RBI staff and the cooperation of the Charity’s sponsors, the school children of Baia Mare are now able to attend school and thus have gained access to education.
