We make future possible with “Future in your schoolbag”!
This year, many supporters from all over Austria and Central and Eastern Europe again set about to join our yearly schoolbag campaign, gather schoolbags, school supplies, and collect donations for learning tablets for disadvantaged children.
Schneiders the bag Company, a fourth-generation family business from Vienna, participated in "Future in your schoolbag" for the first time and generously donated more than 200 new schoolbags. All in all, with the support of our long-term partners METRO Group, SPAR Austria, Pagro/Libro, as well as Raiffeisenbank Krems, Raiffeisenbank Region Baden, IMC FH Krems, Austrian schools and RBI employees, 400 school packages were put together for pupils in Romania. Equipped with school bags and school supplies, they can now prepare for their future.
Bridging the digital divide
To bridge the deep digital divide among children from poor families, our focus is on digital solutions for students. We equipped 200 children in Giljan, one the largest towns in Kosovo, with learning tablets. They can now participate in their regular online teachings again thanks to numerous donors and the important support of Raiffeisenbank Kosovo. These learning tablets, which will also be of great importance after graduation, give disadvantaged students the opportunity to keep up with their peers in terms of digital education.
