I apologize that my letters have been coming in irregular intervals lately, but as my studies develop, I have more and more papers due. I wanted to sincerely thank you for my birthday present. To be more precise, for the round sleigh, a very cool and fun thing to ride. Since childhood I have loved sports of all kinds, especially in winter, and that is why I like this equipment so much!

The H. Stepic CEE Charity aims at enabling talented young individuals to develop the full scope of their capabilities and embrace their future. The project “Scholarships for talented orphans” sponsors juveniles in the Pskov region (approximately 20 km from the Russian-Estonian border), enabling them to attend university. Without their godparents' financial support, these young persons would not have this opportunity. The state provides free university places and also housing, but all other costs, including learning materials and other essential things for their daily needs must be covered by the students themselves. With the godparent's money, the students can buy books and other learning material and also finance their transport and the heating costs of their housing.
The Russian Children’s Foundation and kleine herzen take care of the students very intensively and ensure through continuous control that the scholarship is properly used. In this way, they also teache them responsibility and how to efficiently use their financial resources.
Mikhail (Misha) U., Olga Z., Anastasia S., Anna K., Anastasia M., Alina A. and Anna M. are wonderful young people who understand the importance of education and are building their future with the Charity's help. Misha married recently and is about to start a family. The Charity is more than happy to have been able to help him through his years of study and proud to see him standing confidently on his own feet.
