On the occasion of the publication of the jointly created cookbook "Herzensküche - Rezepte aus Zentral- und Osteuropa” on November 10th, 2011, the H. Stepic CEE Charity hosted a fundraising dinner at the Palais Todesco. The dinner, as well as the auction of wines, pieces of jewellery and watches, that were made available by generous donors, has taken in about € 106.000.- in donations. All proceeds go to the establishment of two new houses in the family village Children’s Town in Pnikut, Ukraine.
The guests of the fundraising dinner were pleased about an excellent dinner, which contained recipes of the book. Furthermore, the artistic performances of ballet dancer Karina Sarkissova and opera singer Ildikó Raimondi substantially helped to the evening’s unquestionable success. Many prominent guests made contributions to support families in Central and Eastern Europe who are fighting for their daily survival. The fundraising dinner’s attendees included for example Elisabeth Gürtler (CEO of Sacher Hotels), Andreas Brandstetter (CEO of the UNIQA Insurance Group), Herbert Koch (kika/Leiner), Wolfgang Hesoun (CEO of Siemens Austria) and many other.
