Children's homes in Vorontsovo and Idritsa, Russia

In cooperation with the charitable association "Kleine Herzen", the H. Stepic CEE Charity has helped to improve the living conditions of the young inhabitant of the children's homes in Idritsa and Vorontsovo, Russia.

The H. Stepic CEE Charity provided a sports area and shower facilities for the children's home in Vorontsovo, which accommodates 86 children and adolescents in the small city in the region of Pskovskaja, 700 km to the north-west of Moscow. Moreover, the H. Stepic CEE Charity acquired 7 fully-equipped computers for the children's home. These steps have helped to significantly improve the adolescents' quality of life.

The orphanage in Idritsa, also situated in the Pskovskaja region, is home to 50 abandoned babies and infants up to the age of 4 years. Here too, the orphanage's modest budget is not sufficient to defray all of its operating costs. The H. Stepic CEE Charity was able to help by replacing several windows and providing enough nappies to cover the orphanage's requirements for a number of months.
